Mama Palma’s Gourmet Pizza: Just Ok
Tonight I had the not-so-lucky experience of eating at Mama Palma’s Gourmet Pizza on Spruce street. Just driving in from New York, I wanted to grab a quick bite and the outdoor seating area looked quaint. I carried 4 large bags and asked to be seated at a 4-top table outside. Not one other person ate in the abundant tables outside, yet they refused. I’m talking empty folks, deserted! Absolutely refused, no discussions please. That was that. The Pizza: pretty good I must admit, the service: just ok, the price: bad, the management: very bad.
Check this out: I am not alone in my disappointment with the management and their rules/behaviour. I found some interesting reviews of Mama Palma’s on Citysearch. http://philadelphia.citysearch.com/review/8949847/2341812

I went here with my children (ages 3 and 10 months) and husband and parents. The owner wanted us to move the babies high chair. When it wasn’t fast enough he cursed us out in front of the kids. On the way out he physically attacked my husband. If you read the city search reviews you can see this is not an isolated event. The owner is a dangerous man. No pizza is worth it.
