BoltBus: Better than the Train to NYC

We needed to get to New York for a night this past weekend and while the train seemed like the way to go, I had heard about a new bus service from Greyhound that took you straight to NYC from Philly. A direct shot, Bolt Bus turned out to be quite pleasant and clean. The website, Boltbus.com, claims to offer WiFi on the bus however I wasn’t able to connect. However, I did see some others online so maybe it was just me.

Even without the internet, this service is really worth the price. The sooner you book your ticket, the cheaper the ticket costs. I bought round-trip tickets for $21 total including a $.5 per ticket.

The bus picks you up behind the Post Office on 30th street between Market and Chestnut Streets. Get there about 10-15 minutes before your departure.

One WARNING: If you are short like me, the seats are not very comfortable. They were made for people taller than 5’2″. If you are shorter than 5’2″, bring a pillow or your neck is going to HURT after a two hour ride!
